DESCRIPTION:Kick off the New Year with New Exhibits at the Box Factory for the Arts\n\nThe Box Factory for the Arts presents its Series 1 Exhibit which showcases work from 15 regional artists exhibited on all three floors of the historic building in St. Joseph\, Michigan.\n\nThe Williams Gallery will feature Karen Sunman\, from Kalamazoo\, who does abstract paintings using acrylics and mixed media.   Also showing in the gallery is Jamie Whitledge from Mattawan\, whose paintings are done with acrylic paint and inks using credit cards.\n\nThe Whitlow Gallery features a group show headed up by Kerry Hagy of Watervliet and includes Sarah Rydecki and Kellie Terry. They are showing needle felting\, assemblage and collage.\n\nThe Riverwalk Gallery features watercolor paintings from Katrina Jones\, of South Haven\, and acrylic paintings with pastels and pencil by Karyn Denten of LaGrange Park\, Ill.\n\nThe Skyview Gallery will feature two group shows. Carolyn O'Hearn\, St. Joseph\, heads up a group that includes Cynthia Fielding and Pamela Bower and shows their work in fused glass.  The second group is coordinated by Lorrie Grainger Abdo of Kalamazoo\, and includes Gretchen Huggett\, Rachel Stickney and Gayle Swank Reyes. Their show\, "Boundless: Innovation and Traditions in Paper\," shows paper art.\n\nThe Alcove Gallery will feature George Liebert who is a painter\, printmaker and teacher based in Chicago. He has taught at the School of the Art Institute in various departments since 1979.  Formerly he was the resident Director of Ox Bow Summer School of Painting from 1989 till 2003\, where a scholarship has been endowed in his honor. \n\nThe exhibits in all four galleries run from Jan. 16   Feb. 22\, 2026. The Box Factory's winter hours are Thursday\, 12-6 p.m.\, and Friday   Sunday\, 12-4 p.m. at 1101 Broad St. in St. Joseph. Entry is free and open to the public.
