Granor Farm's Third Annual Bean Nouveau

This year's festivities will include bean bag tosses, bean counter jars, and the first ever "Not Chili Cook Off", a fundraiser for Blessings in a Backpack, an area non-profit that provides supplemental food assistance to under-resourced children in the River Valley School District.

Participating in this year's Cook Off are David's Deli (New Buffalo), Louisa's Swedish Bakery (Harbert), Patellies (Three Oaks), Ray and Al's (Galien), and the Granor Kitchen. Each business is making their favorite bean stew recipe with a different heirloom bean with the only requirement that it not be chili. The triumphant business will win bragging rights for at least the next year.
