Hypertufa Class

Friendship Botanic Gardens is offering a Hypertufa trough class on September 9th from 10 to 12 PM. T?his event will take place under the Education Pavilion at Friendship Botanic Gardens.

What is a Hypertufa?

You might not be familiar with this form of making a trough garden to display tiny horticultural treasures, but they are very popular to display dwarf conifers, alpines, and miniature succulents.

Hypertufas are lightweight concrete and can be kept outside over the winter.

Come learn how to build a permeable container for miniature gardens...fill your hypertufa with mini-evergreens or succulents and take your creation home!

Bring a container for your project, such as a cardboard box (not too big,) a plastic dishpan or we can provide a container.

Cost for the class for members is $35. Non-members $40. This covers the cost of all materials.

Advanced ticket purchase is strongly recommended, as space is limited.
