Description
Morning Session and Afternoon Session (Exact time TBD)
Date: This program is weather dependent. It is usually held the last weekend in February or the first weekend in March. Stay tuned; we'll make the call towards the end of February.
Location: Covenant Farm, located in Sawyer
Explore the process of turning sap into syrup as you take a tour of Covenant Farm, a gorgeous 70-acre wooded property protected by Chikaming Open Lands through a conservation easement. Learn all about extracting sap and visit the farm's "sugar shack" to see how it's boiled down to make a deliciously sweet maple syrup.
This program takes place outside over uneven terrain. This program is open to all ages but requires about 45 minutes to 1 hour of walking. Please email gball@chikamingopenlands.org with any questions.
