About Us
The Michiana Humane Society has been giving pets, and the people who love them, a second chance for over 100 years. Centrally located in Michigan City, Indiana, MHS serves northwest Indiana and southwest Michigan's pet owners whether they want to add a new dog or cat or critter to the family or if they need to rehome a pet. All of our available animals may be seen on our website, or just stop in! No appointment is necessary.
Just visiting the area, but you miss your pet? Stop by to do a Fetch Some Fun afternoon! "Check out" a dog for an afternoon hike, or take a cat into our visiting room for play time. It's fun for you, and the pets benefit from your attention. Call ahead to check availability.
