Schmidke Construction and Contracting is a leader in custom home building and remodeling, committed to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and unparalleled customer service for over 20 years in Southwest Michigan and Northwest Indiana. Our skilled team of professionals creates unique homes that reflect each clients’ vision and lifestyle.

Creating custom spaces unique to each client is an exciting and a very personal experience. Schmidke Construction and Contracting, or SCC, understands personal journeys as owner Joshua Schmidke built the business at a very young age out of hard work, earned knowledge, and high expectations.

First Generation | Gaining Knowledge Through the Trades
SCC was established in 2001 but long before that, Joshua set out with his father, a plumbing contractor, on job sites as a young child. He became an apprentice, learning more about the business from each subcontractor and general contractor and eventually secured his Journeyman license in plumbing. After almost two decades of exposure to the trades, Joshua broke into custom home building and built his first home at the age of 24.

Mastering the Industry
In addition to growing Schmidke Construction, Joshua and his wife Brianne launched Properti Home Concierge in 2021 to further cater to clients after their build and serve second-home owners with home watch and concierge services.
