About Us
The School of American Music (SAM) is a nonprofit music education and performance organization dedicated to inspiring, connecting, and enriching the community through music. Based in Three Oaks, Michigan, SAM offers a wide range of programs including private music lessons, after-school instruction, community sing-alongs, free family concerts, and locally produced music festivals.
SAM proudly serves students of all ages and experience levels, with a special commitment to accessibility and inclusion. We provide scholarships to those who may not otherwise be able to afford music instruction, and several of our instructors are trained to support neurodivergent learners.
Our mission is to provide opportunities for area residents and visitors to engage in musical activities and educational programs.
Our vision is to create an inspired, inclusive community united by the love and joy of music.
