Brief Overview

Job Title: Member Services & Chamber Operations Manager

Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year

Type: Full-Time

Core Responsibilities

  • Office & Tech Management: Act as the primary front-office contact. Manage digital and physical files, order supplies, and handle IT/copier vendors.
  • Bookkeeping & Financials: Handle Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) in QuickBooks and ChamberMaster. Process invoicing, bank deposits, and track overdue collections.
  • Facility & Tenant Support: Manage room rentals, conference room setups, lease documents, and building maintenance.
  • Events & Marketing: Help plan and execute chamber events, including member mixers, ribbon cuttings, networking hours, and major annual events. Assist with advertising sales and production of the Harbor Country Guide.
  • Data collecting & Reporting: Develop methods to collect membership data, prepare monthly board reports.

Key Requirements

  • Experience: 3–5+ years in office admin, operations, or bookkeeping. Chamber or nonprofit experience is preferred.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, Communications, or Nonprofit Management preferred (or equivalent experience).
  • Software Skills: QuickBooks, ChamberMaster (or similar CRM), WordPress, Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace.
  • Soft Skills: Strong customer service, high attention to financial detail, and a welcoming presence.
  • Flexibility: Ability to work from the main Three Oaks office, New Buffalo satellite office, and attend occasional morning, evening, or weekend events.
