Brief Overview
Job Title: Membership & Community Engagement Manager
Salary: $55,000 - $75,000 per year
Type: Full-Time
Core Responsibilities
- Membership Development: Recruit new members, manage onboarding, handle billing/renewals, and conduct regular check-ins to boost retention.
- Event Planning: Coordinate and execute chamber events, including member mixers, ribbon cuttings, networking hours, and major annual events.
- Community Relations: Act as the primary contact for members and represent the Chamber across local communities.
- Operations & Reporting: Drive the advertisement sales and production of the Harbor Country Guide, manage member databases, and prepare monthly reports for the Board.
Key Requirements
•Experience: 3–5+ years in membership services, sales, community relations, or nonprofit/chamber work.
•Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience).
•Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft 365/Google Workspace. Experience with CRM systems (like ChamberMaster), QuickBooks, and WordPress is preferred.
•Ability to work from the main Three Oaks office, New Buffalo satellite office, and attend occasional morning, evening, or weekend events
